You should look into what cooper has to offer in the a/t category too, should be able to find a decent tire fairly cheap.  Coopers are made by dean, les schwab tires are usually dean or toyo rebadged, and dean manufactures under a crapload of different names too  http://www.coopertire.com/Flash/index.aspx

I am very impressed with the Coopers. I am running a M/T not a A/T, but they are better on and off the road than the MTR. I keep them rotated and they are wearing even. Im so glad I didnt get the MTRs when I was looking at them.

I've been looking at tires too.  I can't seem to find Coopers around me for a decent price in SoCal.  No Les Schwabb around here.

Yea, coopers (atleast the mud tires) have become much more expensive.  Last time I bought a set new (probably around 6 years ago) they were the cheapest 31" mud tires otd by $100.  Well, they were hercules, but the price was nearly the same and they were the same tire.  Their mud tires are now different, but I believe some of the a/t tires still interchange.  I've seen some new tires super cheap on ebay too, just have to know your brands.

I second what Nate said.  E-bay seems to be the place to by coopers - at least the SST's that I am shopping for.  I've been looking around town and the only place around here that sells them is Express Tire - and I could get a set of 35x12.50r15's new from E-bay for about $200 less.
