THATS STOCK?!?! where?
a tricked out 4wd Chinook? Awesome! as a kid, I remember thinking how cool the toyota chinooks looked, the perfect get-away-from-it-all camper, but I don't remember ever seeing a 4wd version. as I got older, and found out how weak the old 4 cyl. are, I wondered how they ever pulled the extra weight up the hills!
Haha check this sweet motor home out
I know, I have always been curious how well they did. I can't imagine they could pull that much weight successfully. I have seen a few for sale over the years and some day I am going to go test drive one just to see what its like. It would be cool to have a 4WD one with a V8 swap or something to help with the hill climbs
hopefully these pics work for you guys
Oh and a really cool link I found one day stating: years, generation, specs and options for that year! http://www.toyotareference.com/truck#TR
I'll add some better looking pics of a Custom Cab.
So the Wolverine was the name of the 2WD to 4WD Hilux conversions in the 70s? If so, then can anyone tell me what this is??
i know this is an old post, but these 1st Gen conversion were called a 'Breaker, Breaker'
