fine also bring a hand gun sharp knife and some water proof matches ( dont give me that i hate guns speech cause when you need one and dont have it)

 The military issue fire starter packets are a good addition to any survival kit.

there is a decent possibility that i maybe armed on the trail to. better have it and not need it that need it and not have it. kinda like a fire extinguisher

Actually I'd recommend a short barrel pump action shotgun(cheap and reliable), but yeah - some sort of gun is important when you are in BFE.

Also add a few things like solder tabs(bits of solder that you can use with a match) or a pocket torch and such.  There should be a small electrical fit-it-kit in your gear as well, along with the normal survival stuff.

thats funny, i was actually thinking of making a list of :pokinit: i need or already have for winter. good on ya rockcrawlintoy  :biggthumpup: it seems like we all have are own rendition of what it takes to survive if you are stranded. there are good points to them all.
