you will feel drunk when you leave the office.  I can't remember much after that.

I was out of it the rest of the day after I got mine pulled. The stuff they gave me wore off by the next day. The next day I was on Vicodin and Vicodin makes me feel loopy, but I still drove, not very well, but I drove. I don't know if they will give you any good pain killers, but I got enough to last me 2 weeks, but only needed them for 3 days. I :sleepy: a lot.

I was fine later that day.  I've got a high pain tolerance, and my body reacts to surgery well, so I didn't swell at all.  It really depends on how quickly your body heals itself, and how well it handle intrusive procedures (surgery)  if you are a slow healer, it takes longer to get over the meds.  If you heal quickly, your body will actually push the meds out of your system.   I don't know if I'd do a cert the same day, but hey, you gotta do what you gotta do, right?

If i remember correctly, I think I got out about 1 or 2 pm and I just felt different the rest of the day. I was high for at least a couple of hours though after I got out though.

You should be fine to drive by 6 though, just be prepared to be tired. Also if you can tolerate the pain and not take any of the vicodin for the first day you should heal up pretty quick. they thin your blood and you will bleed nonstop for days if you take them before the wounds close. that way you can save the vics for when you really need them. have fun  :gap:

havent had major surgery that i know of but i have a higher pain tollerance. last time i broke my arm when i was in 8th grade i just laughed, pulled my bike out of the ditch i was in and rode home

im gunna try and see how long i can go without the meds... push myself i guess since i havent had anything to test my pain tollerance or will to push through the pain like that

Yeah the pain wasnt that bad really, by the time the local wore off it was easy to deal with. not like having a hernia, now that hurt like a pregnant dog.  :willynilly: :shudder:

I was perfectly fine the next day, and they had to do some work on mine to get them out, had to cut two of them up into 4 pieces each to get them out  :shocking:, the other two were cake. Couldn't eat hot food for a few days though

Mine were pulled in boot camp. 8 shots and a Navy Doc telling me I'm gonna feel a little pressure. After 24 hours of light duty, I was hard at it with swollen chip monk cheeks.

ps...hopefully, you won't have any impacted. My right lower was impacted and it came out in 3 pieces

I was put on an i.v. drip, and they injected me with knock out stuff. I only had 3 wisdom teeth, and they were all pulled at once as well.

had all 4 of mine pulled at the same time, the anesthesia (or however its spelled) took an extra amount to work for me. all of mine were impacted, messy.

I was knocked out!  Had to bust out two teeth and I didn't want to lay there awake for the whole time.  I awoke, they helped me to my sister's car and home we went.  Basically, four hours after I had it done, I was out mowing my yard, the whole acre!  With a push mower.  The only thing I had problems with was keeping the pockets clear of food!  I had no pain.  Just watch what you eat!  Cake walk!
