Take your drums off. Now look at the wheels cylinder. Is there fluid leaking out of it? Now do the same on the other side. If either of them are leaky, then the wheel cylinders need replaced. I wouldn't replace just one, because if one is out, then the other is not far behind. I would assume that for the discs, you just look at the calipers and see if there is fluid leaking out. When you loose all built up pressure, does it come back a little bit after pumping the brakes? If it does, then it has the same problem that mine does. I don't know what the problem with mine is, so...good luck! :thumbs:

i'm not sure how to check a booster exactly.... maybe undo the vaccuum line and see if the pedal is any different??

usually when you pump the brakes with the engine off and hold them down when you start it the pedal should drop slightly, if it doesn't drop then the booster is bad.

wheel cylinders are on drum brakes, not on disc like a caliper

oh no my pedal drops completely.
i have to force it all the way to the floor and then it grabs.
