went wheelin yesterday at Shotgun creek. my springs work great .. just need to get some metal for a square front driveline and invest in some beadlocks. i had a great time  :beerchug:

Iroks doin their work

here is where i got stuck

after stacking some rocks i made it out under my own power

then i got happy with the skinny petal and hit a big wall going up this nasty mud hill

swapped that out for the spare, then kept going until my driveline fell out again. it was dark by then so i had my buddy pull me out the rest of the trail. time to go get some metal for a square shaft

Love your truck, my girl has a 79 but she'd kill me if I did that to hers; it'd be fun though!
Any timeframe for the exo?
Your wheeling pics make me want to move to Oregon.  :D  :D

good deal!  i just rebuilt the rear frame of my truck. i dovetailed the frame six inches and moved the springs in three inches on the axle on each side.  its not done yet and it flexes really well even without any weight in the back.  i will really be needing the stability of some gas shocks now!  i have a link to my build in my sig if you wanna check it out.

your supposed to mount the tops first while the strap is still on then have all your bolts ready to go then cut it and work it into place and put the bolt in fast. kevin grove from AOR told me that little trick im guessing all the guys that install at marlin do the same thing too

i did that too..i just put the bottom in first and then the top as the can went up. but i had to pull one back off cause i forgot to put the little sleeves in the bushings that come with the shocks. i didnt even cut the straps cause i wanted to save them so if i have to take them back off for some reason in the future ill have em to do that again

man im sooo jealous . your truck is soo clean! i have to fight with this thing called RUST!

i might have to mod my hoops for a single shock... mine has two on each side  :ack: a little over kill

did you still need those pics of intake/carb or did you get it all figured out?

ya i still kind of need them if you have some.. i got the carb on there and it runs decent with the choke on when its cold. but once it warms up it starts crappen out and not running good at all. im still not sure what the deal is, maybe the air/fuel mixture. once the motor warms up if you cup your hands around the top of the carb it runs alright so it must need less air more fuel ?? :hammerhead:.. it might need rebuilt too cause i can only get the first barrel to open

toyotanner

when my truck is off when i throttle both barrels open.
here are some close pics of the intake/carb if you need more let me know

TheCookieMonster

thanks for the pics Tanner ... i played around with the carb some more today but still having no luck. i definitely have a problem cause if i hold the throttle wide open the second barrel doesn't open at all. it runs now with the choke off , but its running like dog ass. damn carbs  :willynilly:

toyotanner

i have always had good luck with mine... once you get it figured out you'll love it
