Did anybody know that the highest end corvet made for this year has a 505hp 7 litre motor that get s 25mpg on the highway, and is leafsprung....   I was watching ultimate factories and saw them build on and it is in fact leaf sprung..... l coultnt believe it, not only was it leafed but it ran one per "axle"   and run transverse across the rig..... Pretty cool stuff...

Yup, isn't it a single composite spring?  A long time ago I owned a couple mid-years (a '65 and a '66, not at the same time though).  IIRC, they used a steel transverse rear leaf spring pack.  I'm pretty sure Corvettes used that design beginning with the 1963 model year, and have used it since.

Im sure your right,  Im not really a corvett buff, think their cool but always been a mustang guy so I didnt know that leafers were still used and I had never seen a transverse leafer so I thought it was cool.

I just got back from doing some stuff, and guess what I saw? a stupid blonde driving a mustang while talking on her phone and smoking a cigarette. It is about 15 degrees out, and the road is covered in ice and snow. She was putting along at about 20 mph in a 50 mph zone. Girls + Mustang = DEE DEE DEE

Alright It was a year ago I waatched a comparison on speed channel and the mustang beat the corvette.  The 07 stats for the fastest factory
corvette is Unmatched: Z06 is the fastest Corvette ever, does 0-60 in 3.6
and the mustang shelby gt clocks in at 0-60 in 3.8secs, so I guess their pretty comparable, I wouldnt exactly calling that chevy smokin ford, their both pretty impressive

I would drive either if I could afford it but I cant...

But for those of use who are...well seasoned, there is indeed a fountain of youth, a second chance (if only I could get a second chance to buy Microsoft stock at $1 per share) in the form of factory authorized replacement bodies.

for those so inclined they even have Chevy stuff too. Put a modern drivetrain and suspension on a body with some actual style (no jelly beans from the 60's).

Oh, by the way...you didn't include curmudgeon on the list!
