Supra LSD fits into V6 or 4cyl 8" Truck/4Runner axles
« on: Nov 20, 2007, 10:29:58 AM »
I have a Supra LSD that will fit into a solid axle front or into any truck/4Runner rear axle.  No special mods, tools, or welding required.  Believe that it is geared 4.30 but could possibly be 4.10.  Still sealed in factory 3rd case so LSD oil could be re-used.  Located in Denver, CO.  $200.  Could ship, but it weighs in around 60 pounds.  See install guide.

Ok, now I'm confused.  I thought these would only work with a v6 3rd :headscratch:

They only fit into a V6 3rd, but the V6 3rd will fit into the 4 cyl axles with a minor grind on the housing.  The link has a really good writeup.

I believe the Supra has LSD in the late 80's and early 90's, but I am far from an expert on that.  I know that they came in the turbo models.  I believe it was a rarity in the non-turbo models.  Not the easiest thing in the world to find.  Very desireable for both Supra and mini-truck/4runner guys.

Not likely.  I bet this sucker is gonna cost $100 or more to ship.  That is too much of the shipping for me to cover.  Just a heads up for anyone else too that this sucker weighs in over 80 pounds.  I can pull it apart to reduce the shipping cost if need be.

it cost me 40 bucks to ship a T-case and a hydro ram  from florida to califonia....wouldnt think a third could cost that much, I know your thinking to re-use the old oil, but oil isnt that spendy so PULL THE two side shafts.....we wouldnt need those and they pry right out...., you could always, pull off the cover and the two cap bolt and just ship the carrier, that would lose half your weight, then pull the ring gear and you lose a little bit more weight....could probably get it down enough to ship it for 20 bucks....  SO, you just saved 80? bucks on shipping, How much is it for LSD oil, and wouldnt it be better to have the brand new stuff?   I know DHL is cheap to ship through
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

and DHL is CHEAP to ship through......Ive shipped just a t-case from florida to colorado for 34 bucks and a  tcase and hydro ram, packed a little better, for the 44 bucks.......I wouldnt think a third could be that much....... even complete......

at 80lbs and a 15x15x15 package, DHL wants  44.92  from 80022 to 06438

 37.10  at 60 lbs

wishful thinking at 49 LBS  is  33.86

just to let yall know
