Topic: 3RZ swap- neutral safety bypass?

Alright. Almost done with my 2000 prerunner 3RZ / 85 4runner swap. I used the complete harness, motor, AC, everything but the tranny. I went to turn it over today and I never even considered the neutral safety switch. I searched a bit and googled some but none of the topics hit on exactly what to do.

I am sitting here staring at the EWD book and cannot understand it, nor where to find the damn plug. Anyone that can help explain what I am looking for and what to do I would be very appreciative. I am going to keep looking at this book and pulling out hair.

So are you running an Automatic transmission with this conversion?

If not, then you don't need the Automatic ECU, and if you need to smog this vehicle, then I strongly recommend converting the wiring over to a Manual 3RZ ECU so you can get all of the engine codes to clear.
