i second those last two posts. i am pullin out my rear axel tomorrow and doin it, then the sas!  :yupyup:

so, finished axel pics. its got 4.88 gears, an aussie locker, triple drilled flange, and warn premium hubs. fully rebuilt and ready to go.  oh yeah.  :cool:  :yupyup:

i like warn hubs. :) doin the rear lift first, pulled it all apart and shaved the drain plug, put on diff armor, shock mounts, and painted the housing and 3rd. got springs hung also. gotta put axel togeather and put it on tomorrow. when i finish the rear end i will start the sas.  :beerchug:

so, got rear suspention done and got all the IFS cut out. have pics but photobucket is bein a p.o.s. sas should be done this week. :)

Just make sure you check the bolts all the time and you will be fine.  It is when they get loose that bad stuff happens.  No cone washers.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

hes got a point, remember my driver side one on the ifs kyle? used to always loosen up =/

thanks for the info. what if i check em every oil change? that a good time span? (and unlike most people i do change my oil regularly)  :biggthumpup:

BTW: I believe you can now convert your old IFS hubs on the cheap and upgrade to the Longfield hub gears at the same time. Check the Longfield web site. ;)

yeah, i have a set of assins for my solid axel, but i bought warns un knowing. im gettin longs next.

i have warns too....... the pass side is always loose and leaking!!! it pisses me off

rear suspention: 4in springs, u bolt flip, 5in shackels, new spring hangers moved forward for springs, extended brake line. 3rd member: detroit locker, 4.88 gears, triple drilled flange. housing: diff armor, shaved drain plug, shock mounts.

well besides that they are really easy to lock and unlock, smooth and short turns
