that sux about the birf, i think you need longs for sure, thats #4 in like 3 months. we gotta adjust the steering stops. we are sasin this week if gos to plan.

Progress has been made. rearend is totally ripped out, springs hung, more to come.
His gf has the pics so bug him not me!

so, finished axel pics. its got 4.88 gears, an aussie locker, triple drilled flange, and warn premium hubs. fully rebuilt and ready to go.  oh yeah.

why warn hubs? I would pawn those off to some jeep guys real quick and pick up a set of Aisins...

i like warn hubs. doin the rear lift first, pulled it all apart and shaved the drain plug, put on diff armor, shock mounts, and painted the housing and 3rd. got springs hung also. gotta put axel togeather and put it on tomorrow. when i finish the rear end i will start the sas.

so, got rear suspention done and got all the IFS cut out. have pics but photobucket is bein a p.o.s. sas should be done this week.

Just make sure you check the bolts all the time and you will be fine.  It is when they get loose that bad stuff happens.  No cone washers.

hes got a point, remember my driver side one on the ifs kyle? used to always loosen up =/
maybe some medium strength loctite?

thanks for the info. what if i check em every oil change? that a good time span? (and unlike most people i do change my oil regularly)

Nice work on the axle but X3 on the Warn hubs. Check them before and after every trail run.

BTW: I believe you can now convert your old IFS hubs on the cheap and upgrade to the Longfield hub gears at the same time. Check the Longfield web site.

yeah, i have a set of assins for my solid axel, but i bought warns un knowing. im gettin longs next.

rear suspention: 4in springs, u bolt flip, 5in shackels, new spring hangers moved forward for springs, extended brake line. 3rd member: detroit locker, 4.88 gears, triple drilled flange. housing: diff armor, shaved drain plug, shock mounts.
   
   
   IFS is cut out and workin on sas. sick so its slow.

this weekend, im got a real bad cold so i dident do work tonight but tomorrow mornin im gonna get down. got frame damn near bare, hanger on, next is frame tubes and hangin springs and axel!

spinners sold seperate! haha yup, ryan dumped em off lastnight after comin to scotts. im gonna come to paradice one day this week, i will give you a call and let you know when.
