High Steer J-Arm
« on: Nov 12, 2007, 04:48:08 PM »
From what I have seen nobody makes a high steer j-arm, but I have to ask why not?  I know alot of you might think that I am trying to do something halfway and be cheep but that is not the case.  For my own purpose I think a high steer j-arm would work pretty well.  I have no lift and don't plan on ever having one, so I don't really need crossover steering.  I do not have alot of bump steer or suspension cycle steering, or tires large enough to justify the extra strength gained.  So as far as the crossover part of a high steer the best reason I have to do it is to follow the crowd and because everyone says that I should do it.  But, I do see the need for the high steer portion as far as the need for more clearance.  So... am I completely crazy (probably) or are there others out there in the same boat?  Does anybody know of anyone who makes this, or suggestions of how to custom make one (not ghetto-ly).  Any thoughts or help are appreciated.

besides  moving the tierod up above the springs  so it doesnt get smashed

if you dont have more than 3 inches  of lift  i'd keep the stock steering and get a Marlink
