Its cute
thanks! yea it is kinda cute....FOR NOW muhahahahha....

so i have a newbie question about the auto tranny....Im changing all the fluids (most to synthetics possibly..any thoughts on this move?) since I'm not 100% on the service history. How do I get all the transmission fluid out of the thing? I know most shops use some kind of vacuum device (right?) to remove ALL the fluid from the pan and everything....or do I just not worry about it and drain out what I can?

Very nice 4Runner. I don't know about the toy autos but I think on American automatics there is a way to drain the torque converter, if I'm not totally wrong then its possible that you can do the same.

yes.. there is no point changing the fluid and not the filter.

x2...toyota automatics are pretty stout as long as the fluid isnt burnt and dirty you should be good with a fluid and filter change

I took some pictures for MrsPATaco...I took the running boards off and cut the rubber piece off the bottom of the rear mud flaps...I saw this on Yotatech of all places... It gives the truck an easy, free "lifted" appearance..I think I am going to put some coil spacers in and bigger tires..not sure what though. Anyone know the biggest size tires I can run on this thing without re-gearing/dogging the engine out?

BEFORE with running boards and mud flaps

AFTER with running boards removed and mud flaps cut off (I think it gives the vehicle a more "trucky" appearance)

the underneath was rusty so I started painting it

dont solid axels have a clearance issue with the e-locker up front? like with the springs or so?

i dont think so...but Im a newb with this too ..the only clearance issue I can think of would be on the oil pan since the locker motor is mounted on the top of the 3rd housing....but then again i have no idea...anyone know?
