i know a lot has been said about dual t-cases but. there is 12-14" availible between stock sami 5-sp and stock sami t-case. is there (i'm thinking nissan-datsun) another divorced t-case that will physically fit without moving the stock sami case more rearward? what appeals to me is having more than just 2 ranges. i've seen trucks with low axle ratios and 4to1 t-case gears who were either bouncing off revlimiter in low or not enough power in high.

I've only seen the Klune-V dual setup on a Sammi, I'm sure it can be done with some research but you may have to move the rear case.

OTT has the kicker 1, 2, 3, and 4. They use a modified Sidekick gear box.  Here is the link to the website http://www.ottindustries.com/kicker1.htm

Hope this helps

Rock 4x Fabrication also offers a setup similar to the kicker 3. lot of people have made them themselves by just hacking the front output off the kick case, plating it, and running a jack shaft from it to the sami case. there are many more affordable and street friendly methods than the klune...

i am looking at putting something similar in the tracker soon...

What isnt "street" freindly about the Klune?  It is 100 times better than a rock block (100 times the cost too)  It doesnt run outta phase like the rock block does, it doesn't puke gear oil like the rock blocks do.  I had the Klune V and it was AWESOME.  Jim

i have read in the past that the klune was not intended for street use, and that extended street use will cause premature failure... i have never had one, just regurgitating what i have read. i know that cost is where most people opt out of getting one.

i have also heard that about the rock block...

The only reason I sold the Klune was I feel the need for more power and I have little faith in Zuk t cases when behind more power...LOL

The kicker3 setup is good for a SWB Sami as it leaves the Sami t-case in the stock location.

I'm running a 1.6/5spd/modified kick t-case with a devorced 4to1 Sami behind it. I have 96" wb on my LWB Sami and my setup works fine for me.

I love having the gear selection that the dual t-cases provide and i'll never go back to one t-case

I've got to jump in on this, since being new to modifying "a" Zuk, can any of the kickers work with the stock Samurai trans and trans-case? or is it just to the side kick trans and t-case?

reason I ask, i want to do a 1.6 swap in the future and use the Samurai trans. (A buddy also changed to the 1.6 and used the side kick trans and regrets the low gearing he gained for hwy use. he's running stock sami axles and gearing on 32" tires. )

what would be the best set up for me to go, I like to wheel and could use low gears( stock everything right now ), I've never been in anything with 2 cases to see the benifits.
I would like it to be hwy friendly for trips up to 80 miles from home.

Resurrecting an old post, don't want to clutter things up on the same topic.

The OTT Industries site and the the Rock4xFab site are both down, so I am assuming they may likely both be out of business?

The Kicker 1 and Kicker 3 sounded like awesome products.

Are there any alternatives to get the double passenger drop Samurai offset drivelines?

If you are using a 1.6L you can use the Ring-R adapter to mount to a W56 transmission and just use the good toyota stuff. Any of that suzuki stuff is/was garbage other than a single 6.5:1 case. that's why most of it is not available.
