Yeah its supposed to snow to 3500-4000 feet tonight in my area (grass valley) up towards Truckee/Tahoe but no luck here yet (my house is at 3800). Definitely cold enough though. I didnt have enough warm clothes on earlier and I had to cover my boat. Thought I would never see my nuts again

Just looked at the webcam...

It hasnt changed the pic and info since 3:33AM but it looks to me like theres a good solid 6 inches of powder on the ground!

Thanks Rocko. I dont think we are going to do any Greenhorn runs yet...my house is at about 3800 feet and the riverbed is almost 2000 feet. so there isnt any snow in the riverbed yet but its supposed to snow hard tonight. If it does we will probably do some snow runs up Chalk Bluff, or head up 20 and just run some forest service roads. I will let you know if we decide to go. Do you live in Grass Valley?

no i live in antioch ca but grass valley is not far from me and i also have a friend that lives in grass valley that i have not talked to in a long time... his dad told me he got a land crusier now thats pretty cool... let me know

highlakes this week anyone? i just got a report from my buddy there was 3 feet in some drifts on the pavement to Philbrook, so im just estimating that spring valley could have twice that!!!

sounds like you all need to move here.
a good 16in of packed snow thats sorta soft at the top with 6in of new heavy snow.
had fun today on some snowmobile trails.
ill get pics when i go up next.

That's what I was thinking, a lot of people go up there to play in the snow that know what they are doing and know the terrain very well.
