You know I was thinking about it just now and the highlakes would be a lot of fun to camp somwhere and richard around then come back to camp. Like camping at Spring Valley friday night, goin into morris sat and camping back at spring valley sat night then heading out sunday...

I say the highlakes now

Is this an open invitation?  Why the 35" rule?  Would that extra 1 inch really make that much of a difference compared to running 33's??  I would love to tag along but only have 33's..... :shakehead:

Do you have lockers? Experience in the snow? Been to the highlakes?

Its really gay wheeling with people that cant wheel for :pokinit: and get stuck every place so if people have bigger then 35s and dont know how to wheel in the snow, its still just as gay.

Having a huge group of people wheelin with one guys stuck that has smaller tires is a big pain in the ass. People with 37s even have troubles sometimes.

Went to highlakes in August went to Morse, and do have detroit in rear and lockright in front 5.29 gears.  Have some snow experience but not much.  I woul dreally like to do some snow wheeling this year.  I guess if 35's is what it really takes I'll have to get some?  Or get my brother to drive, he has 37's on his truck?  But both of us with limited "snow" experience.

Sounds good to me. With that setup youd do just fine id imagine. I was just assuming you were open open but look where that gets you. I have a buddy that can go just as far as me iwth a ford ranger on 32s with a rear locker,  he has been to the snow a lot but still he gets it.

Lets wait to see the snow conditions. I know before the time comes I will be up there a lot and if its been cold and snow then yeah id say come but if its been a warm day and theres ltos of ruts id say  that it might be a bad idea.

Im not tryin to put people down or anything...

I might just get bigger tires anyways...but wouldn't I have to upgrade my axles??  Other wise maybe I can convince my Bro to come out and we can sleep under his camper shell.  Besides I will probably do a few snow trips before this one, weather permitting.

You need as big of tires as possible for the highlakes.  So many people around here run 42's + and theres pretty narley ruts in some spots.

Bald Mountain in the snow is always a good time. And it is centrally located.

I live in Grass Valley and I know of a lot of great trails to run once the snow hits. If you guys decide to come up here let me know I can show you around.
