yea, they are 3/4 overall the axle measure 59" wms-wms.

I kinda want to buy a plasma cutter before i start on it.  The torch is cool but i dont like the fact that theres a flame shootin out, plus with a plasma cutter theres less metal getting heated up.

Yea im pretty sure it is!  Honestly i think thats the first time ever breaking one!  4cyl, stock gears and 31's?  I must have been gettin it WAY to hard!!!!!!

Yea you musta been. I bet it was fun. Before i sasd mine i was gonna roll in front wheel drive and just smash it around town but got way too lazy to take off the rear driveline. I really wanted to beat the out of mine but never got aroudn to doing it.

According to some research i found about them, they are actually stronger than 5.29s.  There is more face to face contact on the teeth between the pinion and ring gear.  Not to mention, the pinion gear has the same amount of teeth as pinion for 5.29s.

Did you read that page that compared the 5.29s and 5.71s side to side? I saw that one. They had a micrometer and was meausring everything and they were pretty close.
