I urge everyone to let their freinds , relatives, co-workers know what is about to happen and ask them to respond. Many non  4x4 people have no idea what is about to happen.  Below is a letter I sent to the Fresno Bee & the Seirra & El Do  NFS..........

I see the National Forest Service is going to severely restrict vehicle access to public non-wilderness land. Unfortunately, most citizens will not be able to hike in to fishing, hunting and camping areas that we once drove to. This is very unfair for people with physical disabilities, children, limited vacation time or who can't afford pack animals.

There are already many protected roadless areas that have grown much larger since the 1970s. I have visited the forest approximately 15 times each year since the early 1960s and have seen many areas and remote camp spots discreetly closed, some recently.

It seems that the government will not be happy until the forest is completely closed to motorized or pedal-powered travel. I think these closure proposals are a step toward the total closure that has been progressing since the 1970s,

PLEASE do not place additional restrictions on our public non wilderness lands.

Save our forest from the sierra club, they are the enemy of outdoor enthusiast everywhere.
