hello to all   :biggthumpup:  my name is daryl i live near sydney. australia
my last 4x4 was a 10/86 hilux extra cab 7'' skyjacker springs.3'' body lift. 4.3 buickturbo diesel. 5speed man. dual transfer case. 140litr f/tank 38'' tyre + beadlock rims etc etc sold to finance the house
my new project is an 1990 swb sierra spoa 2.5'' spring 32'' bfg muds  (samuri over there)
im stripping the drive line to start fitting hilux gear


project list (things to do)
extend chassis + body around 15'' open wheel arches 
extend wheel base to around 98''
fit supercharde 22re or the nissan sr20det. use water to air intercooler
turbo diesel surf 5speed box (r154) dual transfer case 4.7 f/case 2.28 r/case
turbo diesel r/diff v6 5.29 gears lsd/ hilux f/housing hi pinion 80s f/diff centre 5.29 6cyl gears & use v6 4runner lsd for front centre
use ifs surf front bearing hubs on front  to match rear wheel track ( ifs bearing/huds are 1.5'' wider per side)
4link rear suspension / 5link front suspension/ ifs surf steering box. 60s cruiser hub arms + 80s tie rods
roll cage /tube bars + sliders
rear mount the radiator (in tray)
35'' mtr or 37'' mtr depending on clearance

yes but the problem is that they are just that, aftermarket!  If you wann put a full floater in your fj80 no problem they came stock, here itll cost you $1000!  Want a 90's era truck with a diesal and a straight axle, easy go buy one.  But you are right we do have a killer aftermarket for yota parts, thanks to the efforts of Marlin and a lot of others.
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

You need to post up some wheeling pictures from your area too, we would like to see them.

You could also start a 17 page thread (soon to be 18) on your build up :yupyup:

i will prism
the zook will take about 12months to build. so ill start a post  & some pics. when ive done a bit to it otherwise it will be a bit boring for u all if you watch the build over 12months ill take photos as i go. & start the project post when its half way threw.

chassis is extended
rear four link done just got to mount shocks
finish up tray
