help with rusty frame repairs
« on: Oct 03, 2007, 05:06:35 PM »
Hello guys ,i really appreciate all the help i have got from everybody. So another  question ,was looking about putting a metal flat bed on my truck . Found  a quarter size hole on each side of the frame both in the same spot. Right in front of the spring at the bottom of the bind,on the inside of the frame . Is it worth fixing, and how do i go about it?

That is hard to say without seeing it. There is a chance the inside of the frame is where most of the rust is. You can plate over it and keep an eye out for cracks or change the frame with a known good one.

You can plate the frame and be just fine....  but the problem is still the inside your your frame, if it's rusting from the inside out, your going to have big problem's down the road
