WANTED: 1985 SR5 Bucket Seats
« on: Oct 03, 2007, 09:31:02 AM »
I am looking for 1985 SR5 Bucket Seats, both drivers and passengers.

The reason why I want specifically seats from a 1985 is because these seats say "SR5 SR5 SR5 SR5 SR5 SR5" all over them in a diagonal pattern and I think that would be pimp to have in my 1981 Hilux.

I am not sure if these Bucket seats were used in a Pickup, but I know I've seen them in a 1985 SR5 4Runner, and I *believe* this is the only year and model they came from?

Thankyou X 1000 to anyone who can find me a set!

Regards,
BigMike

I just searched all over the place and I can't even find an example picture of these cool seats.

Anyone have a picture of these seats? Thanks

I have just a drivers side in grey.  (they came in grey and brown)  The one I have has something wrong with the frame, the seat back won't lock in the fully upright position so you drive around gangster style.  The appolstery is great though, and the frame could probably be fixed.  I'd give it to you for free if you wanted it and were coming to SoCal for an event or something.  Didn't I hear that you have an aunt in Running Springs?

Couldn't find a picture, but I can take one when I get home.

I had those seats in my old '85 with blue interior.  It was a regular cab.

I know what you are looking for Mike, so I will keep and eye out down here in the south end of the state.  Honestly though, you would probably be better off buying some highback PRP's.  The seats you are looking for are so old, the foam has got to be shot by now.

I know what you are saying, and I know its a shot in the dark to find some with good upholstery, but to have a set of original Toyota SR5 seats in my 1981 SR5 would be sa-weeeeeeeeeeet!

wow, I just turned a set down, because i like the regular ones instead.  The guy was either on here or on pirate.  I'll see if i deleted his message or not.  I'll try to track him down for ya.  I think he wanted 150 for them.
