Bucket Seats
« on: Feb 16, 2004, 08:05:55 PM »
Gettin ready to install my dual cases so the bench seat has gotta go. I need to start getting ideas of what I'm going to do. I want to see some pics of the seats and brief description of the install (how close of a direct bolt in it was).
Thanks-Kyle :beerchug:

Think toyota car.  Most of the earlier cars 80-90ish will basically bolt right in.  As we all know there are a lot of them in the wrecking yards.

i just put some dodge neon seats in. on the driver seat i had to drill on one for the right rear bolt. there was a hole already for the right front just had to but a nut and bolt through there. the out side bolt holes lined up. on the pass. seat i had to drill the two inside holes.

buckets from the same generation of pickup you have should be a direct bolt in.  i have some comfy '85 sr5 pickup seats in my '79, had to do a little drilling but it was maybe a 2 hour job

You know, despite the fact that I drive one, you should really consider the buckets from a MR2 from 1985-1989. The 85-86 seats are a two tone and the 87-89 are usually just one color. They have great lumber support and are very comfortable.

I also believe its a direct bolt in.

Thanks everyone, I just got a pair of PRP highback buckets from Kartek. Had to make my own brackets but it was a piece of cake. I'll take a picture and post it in my buildup thread. Thanks -Kyle
