Just a few pictures of what an IFS Toyota can do, and as far as I know it has open axles. I picked this truck up a few months ago and have not touched it other than to drive it to work. Went out and played around in Florence Junction today, did a portion on Woodpecker and played around in the area of Ajax :yesnod:

Hmmm, it was just a play on words spoken by others about where an IFS could and could not go, but if you want to see some better IFS action here you go, also remember that my truck is completly stock in the drivetrain, no lockers no crawler. Once that happens I can go anywhere I wants it to go.

Bwahahahaha...I am enjoying exercising my 2nd amendment rights.  The 357 is great cause I can go to the range and shoot cheap 38 specials all day long and save the good rounds for the communists.

No offense but those pics a 2wd truck could probably make it through. Still agree though, IFS is not always crap.

QuoteSharon-It is odd how society sees things. Let's say a guy sleeps with all these girls, "he's the man!" or a stud but if a girl does, she's a total very *friendly* person or sleeper. Is society sexist?
QuoteBrandon-Well think about it this way. If a key can open a bunch of locks, it is viewed as a master key and is awesome to have but if a lock is opened by a lot of different keys, well thats a pretty shitty lock if you ask me.

Name the time, I'll take you to that spot. Bring your 2wd and we'll see how far it goes. Those were the only pics I and BMX took but I did a lot harder stuff. FYI that's Florence Junction in AZ, Woodpecker trail.

Surfer has posted pictures in the past of him doing some pretty decent trails with a damn near stock rig, so I don't question the fact that he has done some decent trails in this thing.  By what I have seen in the past couple of years on here, he's one of the best wheelers on the site, normally wheels trails with guys who have built rigs and he is always in a stocker haha.

46&2

Haha that would be a pretty technical trail for a 2wd.

Nice pics there RS.  I wish we had rocks like that.  I like the fact that IFS is tough as nails as long as you know your limits and what your doing.  It's the same theory as all these guys that do a sas and immediately thinks they need to get Longs or Marfields.  I know alot of guys that run factory birfs.  It's all knowing your limits!

Rock on!

Pretty much why I do these threads, I want people just getting into what we do to know they don't have to throw a bucket of money to be able to wheel. Sure they may decide to make upgrades down the road but you can wheel with what you have. I found the best way to learn was to wheel to your limit and add something to extend that limit further and further. Then when you have an awesome rig and something breaks that sets you back you can still wheel your way out. Just imagine buying a turn-key rig with everything on it and then loosing your ARB's, now what are you going to do? Gotta know your angles, that way you will know where you can put it to get through even with both axles open....... or know you are not going to make it and break out the winch before you damage it even more.

Yeah, IMO everyone needs to start with a stock rig and wheel the piss out of it until they know it better than the back of their hand. Can't tell you how many times I have seen some rich kid or any idiot with money shell out for a build crawler only to find out they dont know anything about wheeling and end up ruining their rigs, or hurting themselves or others. start stock, work your way up. i had plenty of fun in my truck when it was stock, wouldnt trade those stocker days for anything, taught me a LOT.

Starting stock makes you a well rounded wheeler. Plus just cuz you dont have 40s and 4 links doesnt mean its not fun. Nothing like getting your stock truck in some hairy situation right next to the guy on 38s and still coming out in once piece.... :D
