1985 toyota 4x4 pickup, 22r(about 14k since rebuild), 5spd., power steering, weber 38 carb., stage 5 crane cam(big lope), new zebra interior, pink powder coated pink shock hoops and track bar, pink drivelines, can piant it all black if wanted,  8in. lift, 38in.  ssr's, tundra wheels, newer paint, custom front bumper.  runs great.  wife wants to build a 4runner i just picked up instead.

just wondering how much tread is left on those ssr's. and is the truck geared for the 38s.

the back tires have about 40% left and the fronts are pretty much on their way out.  the truck has stock gears(4.10's).

Not to hijack, but how does it run with stock gears and 4.10s?  Im thinking of tossing on some 37's on my 4runner and keeping for a few months until I get 5.29s in.

honestly,
it has a crap load of power.  i think the weber has a lot to do with it though.  can't get it into 5th on the freeway, but it will cruze along in 4th.  had 35's on before the 38's, and it would get into 5th on the freeway no problem.  i'm sure if it had a stock cam, it would help with the bigger tires too in the bottom end.

its currently registered non-op.  i have most of the smog stuff for it(all sensors, vacuums, egr, stock cam, etc.  except for stock carb), but its just a matter of swapping it out.

nope, not on ebay yet, i'm trying to avoid it as much as possible.  it seems to be to much of a hassle to ry to sell a vehicle o there with everyone wanting to deal with shipping and what not.  let me know if your still looking.  i'm pretty motivated to sell it right now.

not to thread steal either but how does it run with that carb? mine is but it still passes smog so if i get a bad ass carb and just swap back and forth? and how much was it?

pm sent yoda. the carb new was a little over $450.  i'm pretty sure you can find them on ebay though for right over $400.  just make sure you get the one thats made for the toyota.  i now you can make them work with other things, but i've heard its a pain to make the linkage work.
