New Product - New BudBuilt BudLite Dual Case Crossmember!
« on: Sep 21, 2007, 05:33:11 PM »
Marlin Crawler is proud to be the exclusive distributor for the brand-new BudBuilt BudLite dual case crossmembers!

These new crossmembers are made by the originator: BudBuilt. They are only available through Marlin Crawler and have an exclusive 1-piece design (crossmember and skid) with a recessed mounting surface which yields a 100% flat belly using all stock Toyota mounting hardware. No other crossmember has this unique feature!

The new BudLite is nearly 10-pounds lighter than the previous designs and does not require any special hardware or tools to install and service! No more messy tapered torx bolts that are exposed to rock rash!

If you are like us and enjoy supporting original inventors and designers of American made USA parts for your truck, then this is it: BudBuilt designed and built the original BudBuilt Crossmember back in 1998 right here in the states. :usa:

With nearly 10 years experience in building Toyota Crossmembers, high quality standards are a sure bet with a BudLite crossmember. Each crossmember is laser cut from beefy 3/8" thick hot rolled, pickled and oiled USA steel. Each hole and dimension is precisely cut for an accurate fit and finish with smooth and round edges to maximize strength. The new recessed mounting design has a 5/8" thick mounting area for both t/case mounts, incredibly stronger than all other attempts. This also protects the bottom of each mount bolt.

Each BudLite crossmember is shipped unpainted. High quality USA steel does not need to be hidden by powder coating like other steel! :usa: What good is powder coating if it gets scratched up during shipping anyways? BudBuilt and Marlin Crawler do not have to hide their USA steel parts with scratched paint! :usa: Nor are they exposed to oxidation (rust) by floating across the ocean for a month!

(The t/case mounts and factory mounting hardware pictured are not included.)
These are so new that they are currently only available for 2nd and 3rd gen 4cyl rigs, 1984-1995. Other applications will be available soon!

$249 BudBuilt BudLite Crossmember, 1984-1995 4cyl

When are you going to have one for a triple case setup?  Are these goin to be offered with less drop (drivetrain lift) for people with body lifts?

Also will not work with rotated cases right? :dunno:
Affirmative. However it may be used with a Rotated Marlin Crawler dual case adapter if you use just the front t/case mount. This way you can have the strength and full skid protection of this crossmember and still have your front drive line up out of the rocks via the rotated adapter.

why is the crossmember page down?
It is not down? The Armor page is working fine, but the old crossmember information has been removed to make way for this new information, which should go up on the Armor page on Monday. As you can see in my opening post here, the price and an ordering link is available above

how does it mount up it seams like it would hang down pretty low
It mounts to your frame using the stock Toyota crossmember mounting location. Because the BudLite crossmember is only 3/4" thick, it gains nearly 2.5" more ground clearance than your stock Toyota crossmember with much greater strength, full dual case protection, and ability to run two t/case mounts to help prolong your engine mounts and better carry the weight of your drivetrain.

Here is an example picture of a BudBuilt crossmember:

When are you going to have one for a triple case setup?  Are these goin to be offered with less drop (drivetrain lift) for people with body lifts?
I believe these options will be available once all styles (1st gen and V6 applications) are finished, however you would need to as CruzrDave for more accurate information regarding this.

BigMike

As linked above by Talon, the original style crossmember is available in such configurations, but at this point, the BudLite is not, however I am sure it will be soon.

Any thoughts on making a seperate weld on mount for r10 cases?  I love the design, but not sure I could stand defacing it with my own junk fab.

it wouldn't be that bad...10 degrees over what...6 inches of tcase mount? it would basically be a wedge, just get a protractor/sliding T-bevel and some :flamer:

Also, can it be ordered with drivetrain lift like the other budbuilt crossmembers?

Is the dual transfer case crossmember going to be the lone option now through Marlin Crawler? The single case ones are no more in that section.
