quick question
« on: Sep 12, 2007, 05:10:53 AM »
tried searching, but im no good at that. i have a 86 parts truck sitting in my yard that has an automatic. if im not mistaken shouldnt the R&P ratio be 4.30:1 would it be worth swapping out into my DD with 32" tires so i can get a bit of highway speeds back?

thanks

Don't think you will see much improvement, but if you got em what the heck.

Actually the 4.3's will improve the drive-ability on the street and will defenatly help you offroad, I ran 4.3's (came from the factory that way) in my 80. Of course in the stock configuration it didn't do much for it but that change greatly once a 5 speed trans was swapped for the stock 4 speed. There was definatly a difference, I ran both 31's and 33's and liked the difference.
