long time no update.  it seems that the head gasket in the donor 22r is blown.  so the yota is out to pasture for a while so i can change the tranny in my chevy.

in other news... i found the problem with the motor.  one of the holes in the block is stripped out.  i ordered a heli coil kit and it should be in next week

oh damn, i wonder if its the one that the damn effer at the machine shop extracted a bolt from, and effed it up for 150 bucks.

the heli coil worked.  its starts and runs and doesnt make any unhappy noises.  i still have to finish putting the fan and other stuff on the front and its driving. 

i noticed the passenger hub is leaking so i need to tear into that along with hooking up the air compressor and running the lines.  should be ready to rock by the 4th... i hope

false alarm... it ran but it back fired pretty bad when i drove it.  i thought the cam timing was off so i set it a tooth over now it dont work at all.  im gonna try going 2 teeth the other way and hope it works.  any other ideas???

yeah i still get on but like HO said, im going to school.  wyotech in laramie wyoming.  story on the yota... i figured the cam timing problem was just a distributor problem .  after getting that fixed i discovered that one of the cam bearing cap bolts was loose.    this was the day before i left home to head here.  so i borrowed my dads 69 C-10.  sweet little truck with a 250 I6 and a 3sp on the column.  on the way the clutch started slipping  but i made it here.   the slipping got worse so i pulled it and everything was smooth and shiny.  went to pull and replace the pilot bearing and there wasnt one.  when the reman engine got put in 20 years ago the pilot bearing didnt.  and the new pilot bearing isnt wanting to go in straight.

got the clutch fixed and now the shift linkage in the column broke.  if it isnt one thing its another lol. 

and im trading my yota for a 68 chevy. its got a 350 4 speed and a 205.  44 front and 14 bolt rear sitting on 38s.   im gonna get it when im home for xmas break.  im gonna be like this guy --->

lol and my buddy has a 68 2WD with a 400 Small block.
pumpin bout 400hp I think.

this supposedly has a topend kit.  but what you think you have and what the dyno says are usually way different.
