Lunar eclipse!

So, did anybody see the lunar eclipse?  Not this :moon:   We got the boys out of bed.  Got some really good pics.  Will post them later.

I woke up at 2:40 thinking it would be cool to watch it go out, and I was so bored I went back to sleep :goodnight:

no way I'm getting out of bed at 4am for anything, except maybe a fire, and only if it's threatening my sleep... or for leaving for... MCR5 :woohoo:

I saw it, it was pretty cool. But what happens. During a day eclipse, the moon get in front of the sun. So does the sun get in front of the moon at night. Wouldnt it be day then?

I had no idea it was going to be happening.

Check out this for luck:

Wife and I had a fire lookout rented out near Shasta.  By chance, I woke up to go pee at 3am or so.  I remembered it being very bright when I went to sleep.  Now it was darker.  Look at the moon and it's orange.  Look at it again a little later and it looks like the Macdonalds Mac the Moon guy(with the long chin).  And that part was bright and the rest was orange.  Trippy stuff.  I ended up cracking a beer and staying up for a while, just enjoying the quietness around me.

The next day we caught fish for lunch, and discovered several caves.  Killer time.

I watched most of it while at work (I kept opening the loading doors to look out)  it was pretty cool to look at, would have been much better if I was not in town.
1986 Toyota 4Runner 22re 5spd transmission and dual transfer cases (4.7's in the rear). E-lockers front and rear.
