aussie locker ?

im about to purchase an aussie locker. i already have a detroit. but i dont know which one would go in the front or rear. any suggestions would be appreciated. thank you all

I would Aussie the front.  I have heard of guys with the Detroit up front blowing a birf and having the shock take out the detroit.

if you wait after this month or so the v6/hi pinion version should be out by then..

sorry ,i know its off subject a little but whats an aussie locker? i've never heard of em... but i'd deffinetly put the detriot in the rears...my buddy put a detroit in both F/R axles and always needed new birffs, he never figured it out either and now he's got popeye arms from trying to turn that rig with out hydro assist

It's a lunchbox locker similar to a lockrite, but with a better design.

whats the difference between 4cyl and the hign pinion
The high pinion is a different third member with a reverse rotation cut gear for front solid axle applications.  The pinion if offset to the top side which increases ground clearance under the pinion and driveshaft and decreases your drive shaft angle.

Is this for the ifs or is this for a different vehical?  The ifs and solid axle lockers are not interchangeable.  There is also a difference between the v6 a 4 cylinder ones.
