When I bought my 87 it had a 3in. bodylift on it. The ? is are they good for anything but a cheap lift. I'm running 33's right now but im in the prossess of a SAS but im using it as a daily driver. I also have the bed off it which is in immaculant condition which is FOR SALE but im located in Orlando FL. I want 500.00 for it and also have a double chrome tube bumper with a hitch for 75.00.

Bout the only thing a body lift is good for is, easier access to bolts on the bell housing.
I don't need a winch, I wheel a TOYOTA!!!!!!!

i vote get rid of it completely or maybe one inch lift at the most....the SAS will make you taller than u think..what are the specs of your SAS plan? springs, tires, etc?

it'll make the IFS box easier to mount... but I vote for no body lift as well.

there's other ways to work around mounting the steering box.

I don't really mind them, but the only reason I've kept mine is because it makes my motor (3.0) easier to work on.  There is no way I could get to some of the places I do without it.

I would not run more than 1". I have had a 3" cause body sway on the frame and caused the rag joint to tear almost causing me to hit a utility pole.

Plus your shifters have a tendency to hit the floor and knock them out of gear.

Well im waiting to sell the bed so I can have that extra cash to play with. but the furture spec are.
4-5 in front and rear
I want 37's in the future but I have 35in boggers right now sitten in the garage. But dont no if I should put 5.29s now and run the 35s and then put the 37s on later OR put 4.88s now and have a 3rd member already built up and when i put the 37s and just put that in.
Also a simple flatbed and in the future a exo skeleton.
The winch bumper off WABFAB because I already have the new WARN 9.0Rc which is unbelievably light for what it is and what it can do.

Willy Mammoth you still live in Fl?

u can always cut down the lift. if you insist on running one just cut down the existing lift to no more than one inch
