I've dreamt about doing something like that to my daughter's Accord. A small(ish) Jag v8 with the rear mounted tranny...wow.

Yes it still rice. Motor swaps are rampant when someone buys a vehicle with 80 horsepower at the front left tire. :stopit:

Well it depends on how many splash graphics and neon lights it has when he is done.      :gap:

haha, i was going to say something like that....

its a ricer if its got the 20" tall wing, the ground scraping body kit, the hood scoop the stock tires in the front with 18"s in the back and hte 5" muffler tip....

if it doenst have that junk on it, than its an import....

my sister has a stock 99 civic, its pretty nice, and it is not a ricer by any means.... it is a import....

:nonono:  Now guys.....do you think the "ricer" people understand our great big mud tires and tube doors and 4x4 graphics?  It's just a different hobby, that's all.  :yesnod:

I'll never understand all of the "ricer" hatred.....what'd they ever do to anyone?  :headshake:

real 4x4s dont have grapics all over them, especially ones that advertise 4x4

as far as what did ricers ever do to anyone, they street race illegally... yes there are instances where wheelers wheel illegally, but when you have movies come out like the fast and the furious, it gets everyone to think they drive a racecar and can outrun the cops nad be all cool.... and that give all vehicle enthusiasts a bad name and is seen more in the public eye than a big truck.... big trucks are that, big and slow, not small and nimble zipping in and out of traffic

So now, are we hating on "ricers" or fast cars?  Because Corvettes and Lamborghinis and Camaros and Jaguars are fast cars but I rarely see people hating on them.  No, I think we hate "ricers" because they put silly graphics and big wings on their cars and "think they're cool."  Well, we put gigantic tires and rock sliders and stuff on our trucks because WE think it's cool.  And yes, we do put stickers on....I can barely see out the rear glass of any of our trucks because of all the Marlin, Fabtech, etc. stickers.

Anyway, whatever, I'm just messin around.  :cheese:

no, there is the hating toward ricers, butg stupid useless mods to fit in and drive all racecar and break the law....

like i said, its the garbage that makes it a ricer versus an import.....

i dont liek ricers...

however, my sisters civic is pretty sweet, i would drive it and make a few subtle mods... i would not put neons on it, a 20" tall wing, a hoodscoop, or a body kit on it

OK now THIS is funny http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Ricer

AND it really cleared things up for me.  :yesnod:

So a "ricer" is any car, foreign or domestic, which has pointless modifications which are supposed to make the car LOOK fast without actually adding any performance.

So according to this definition, the "Civette" is most definitely *NOT* a ricer.

it seems hes gonna keep it clean.

listening to it is just scary.

yeah, all that useless crap, that does nothin. espeically :pokinit: like the wing and front spoilers on FWD cars.  i can see mild ground effects kits and a spoiler. but not to the extent most of these morons go with their primered up civics. but, thats me, im a "useful" person and not an asthetics person.

That is no ricer, that's crazy. That thing is going to be out of control.

There is no way that car handles like the vet does, so much design would have to go into it.

I saw it a few weeks ago on another forum, I think the idea is bad ass.  I have a friend who is knee deep in an LS1 Miata build as we speak.  The build will have an entire LS1 drivetrain minus the rear end, that will be a Ford 8.8.  I'll make sure to get some pictures when it is finished.
