nhyota603

nhyota603

Why did you lift the engine  If it was for doing a flat belly like you mentioned, its not needed, all you need to do is push the cases up and cut out anything in the way of getting them above the bottom of the frame rails. Then weld some chain between your frame and motor mounts to keep them from ripping because of drive train torque. Here is how I did mine http://board.marlincrawler.com/index.php?topic=31672.msg363462#msg363462
By lifting the engine I assume by using taller mounts you are moving a big chunk of weight up, and not really gaining any clearance.

i got a set of blocks that move my motor up 2 and 3/4 inch up under the hood.this is because for some reason the 2 wheel drive frame or some weird thing made my lines too short so by doing this i also can use a 1 inch body lift and have my drive train out of harms way

Huh.. I thought that all 2wd frames ('79-'95) were the same as the SA 4wd frames ('79-'85), as far as the section forward of the mid body mount.

so today i went to napa and blew 60 bucks on brake lines .another 80 on a flairing tool and bender.so i did my lines tonight and the clutch line is next.the only problem is the broken off bolt in my tranny.get my easy out out and pull it out .one of my upper caliper bolts is striped out in side my knuckle .flopp. so ill see how is goes with it like that.my dad is gonna get me a rear shaft tomaro so i might be driving a nice big yota wiht my new licesnse.
