I'm working on a 1997 Lincoln Town Car with a 4.6L. I'm replacing the intake manifold with an updated one. I got the manifold torqued down & now I need to torque the throttle body. It is a junk plastic style manifold with nutserts molded in & I don't want to crack the plastic. Does anyone have a book handy that can look up the torque spec's. I did a search online & couldn't find it with out paying for the info.

Thanks for the help  :beerchug:

Thanks Glen but when your aunt pays $300 for just the manifold & your doing the work for free. The actual torque spec is perfered. I can't afford to buy one if I crack it!

Have you checked to see if Autozone has the info online or in the store?

I checked vatozone but they don't have the spec. I did more seaching & found that Ford doesn't call it a throttle body but an upper-plenum  :smack: Found the torque spec 71-106" lbs. about 8.8 ftlbs. I know 10 is close but with the junk plastic I just don't want to take a chance. Thanks for the help everyone
