Just dropping in to say hi.  Building up a 99 4Runner as a family trail rig.

Planning a 3" drivetrain lift, dual ultimate 23 spline Marlin with 35 spline pass. drop Chevy D60 front and 35 spline rear, ARBs, 37" radials on TR beadlocks, body armor, winch, interior cage, stretched WB (maybe as long as 120"), 3 link f/r w/ coilovers, etc.

Trying to find out if I have to have a 1-1.5" body lift to clear the new passenger drop gear driven dual crawler on the trans tunnel.  If so, I'm going to need 4.5" of body lift (aka removing the body mounts, reinforcing them and welding them back on higher in the chassis).  I'd love to avoid this if possible, but I'm not sure I wanna hack up the floor and make a new tunnel to avoid it.  I have to have a 3" body lift anyway to get the radiator and gas tank up above the frame rails.

:welcome: welcome sean from missouri!

cant help u much with your question but that sounds tall to have 4.5 inch lift before adding in suspension lift. Did you build that buggy? if u have good fab skills u can cut the floor up and make it look stock just an idea dont know about the clocking stuff though good luck

EDIT: sorry for the run on sentence

No, I haven't bought the body lift yet.  I'm not planning to if I do the 4.5" lift, since I'd rather keep the bolts short to keep the leverage and shear forces down....I just have to beef the heck out of the frame and mounts to make sure the leverage doesn't negatively affect them.

You guys may be right though....doing the floor (even though I don't want to) may make the most sense.

Sean

***EDIT*** Oh ya, I built the buggy in my garage.
