I was lucky enough to get TG to warrente my 12" slip driveshaft end.. and really lucky that my friend was kind enough to let me have the extra one he had laying around so I didnt have to wait 2weeks for the new one to arrive.. Thanks Rilie!!

REDNECK DRIVELINE FAB 101!!

FIRST: Pull out the handy centering shims (electrical tape) This is to help center the slip yoke in the just slightly to large pipe I got for the mid section..

SECOND: Carefully set the Driveline in the custom jig.. (1/2" thick steel plate, makes the level surface and wood paint mixers to shim things up a little.)

THIRD: Using the proper tools (speed square, bent tape measure, and eyeballs) precisley align the drivesline in the jig.

FOURTH: Tac into place.

FIFTH: Install driveline and use precision BFH to "fine tune" any wobble issues.. Once spinning straight... Finish weld and paint..

That pretty much sums it up.. Like I said dont laugh.. I took it out last night.. not a single vibration at 50mph.

Well the skid plate is finally done..!! And its a HUGH pregnant dog.
Its 1/4" diamond plate alluminum with 1" aluminum square tube grid welded to the back side for support.. It seems very solid but Im a little concerned about how well its gona hold up??

What do you guys think?? Is it gona hold?

Looks good and clean. I think I'd try to make it bolt on somehow from the square tubing grid for better support.

We'll have to say donated.. There was a hugh piece layin around the shop that was allready hacked up.. So I snached it up took it to the local machine shop and had it sheared.. Notice there is a seam in it.. I couldnt make it quite big enough in one piece.. I got real lucky on that one!!

Heres a little update... A little bodywork and some new paint..Graphics on... Grill painted... Still waiting for the fans to come in. But they should be here today. Going wheelin this weekend regaurdless of if they come or not.. I cant wait any longer!!
