Oh i won't... i meet some MC peeps before we even head to the trail, and then start asking around to see if anyone really minds hauling me outta places i cant get out of... or over... or backwards...

I know it's going to be hard, i just want to get so bad, i think i would have fun no matter what i can or can't do....

I am prolly going to trailer it down there with my other truck, cause if it breaks, then at least i still have a ride back to utah with my broken truck...

I still have a question about the roll cage issue... some people are saying the least you need is a roof over your head. I thought you HAD TO HAVE a roll cage or roll bar... i don't have either, but i do have a roof on my truck, haha

im not sure its rewquired, i have a "stock" roll bar in the runner, but its useless.

it would certainly be a good idea to take safety steps, but to specifically answer your question, i dont think its required-again, i rolled the con in a subaru station wagon last year .....the black one in the middle

weirdtimes_7

ok ok... cause i wanna go, but i don't have a welder on hand, or else i would just build one myself. I don't wanna get down there and be turned away cause i have no internal or external cage...

i didnt tell him he couldnt..hell i think i was givin the thumbs while this conversation was happening

the black one had a 3 inch lift.  and a locked rear diff with lots of skidpltes

a good driver can get anythin 4wd through i had to be pulled 3 times, once at the bottom of cadillac, once where marlin sets up camp, and once at the begining of gatekeeper..it had 27 inch ats :eyebrow: and now has alot of body damage

weirdtimes_7

Now knowing this info... i am pretty sure i can do it with my truck.... i just need alittle bit of lift??? i wanna put a 3 inch body lift till i do my SAS, but am i really going to need it to run MRC???

military_stang
:respect:

crawlerdan

id stay away from the body lift man, useless unless you are trying to stuff a big ass motor in it

wheel it as is with a lincoln locker and you will be fine

and old yeller, that brat has dual cases right?? and is locked f/r? i think i remember reading that...anyway, he would walk through 99% easier then half the jeeps i see out there. no prob at all. justy make sure hes got a few key spares and a good tow rope

weirdtimes_7

So no need for the body lift... ok... as long as i have someone in front and back of me that doesn't mind helping, then i think i'll be set.

Hey, crawlerdan... you going this year to MRC6???

well the kid is thinking about Balzer running gear now so he just confuses me  :dunno: I dont know what he is gonna do but I think he wants to go to the round up you think he would have no problem and what parts should he bring

sorry fer the hijack

My older brother had a friend in high school that did the con in a 91 S10 with bumpers, sliders , rear welded and 30 inch tires.  He got out with no body damage as well.  It can be done and you should be fine with a good tow rope and some friends.
