ANYONE MOUNT THEIR BUMP STOP LIKE THIS?????

Just seein what you guys think... would this work ok or is there a problem that i can't see?

I ran my front bump stops that way, but in the rear like Big Mike. The only benefit to running it on the spring I found is if you need to adjust the bump stop height, it was easier to hide the stack of 5 washers used as spacers.  :lipsrsealed::psss:

the tabs on the rubber stop is to be welded to the top of the ubolt plate

I don't think it matters.  jed at ROCKJUNKIE4x4 runs his the way you pictured.  go for it.

either way is fine. i think it looks cleaner with the stop welded on the ubolt plate :twocents:

Im just being a smartass,  That location would work just fine. Look at it this way.... Im using NHL Hockey pucks for my front bumpstops.   :yupyup:

the only advantage i could see to this is there would be more leeway in the mounting postion of the stop because there is more surface area for the stop to hit on the plate....if they are mounted correctly it wouldnt really matter though...the stop is going to hit in the same place every time

That's actually how I planned on mounting mine too :headscratch:  Seems like you could just drill and tap the bump stop drop to make future replacement easier, and if you wanted to do it better you could even weld a nut on the inside so you had more threads  :twocents:

bump stops? damn I think mine are still in the bag somewhere in the garage. Guess I'll learn when I bend a spring....doh't
