IFS motor mounts with marlin shock hoops
« on: Apr 06, 2007, 01:13:09 PM »
I've done a search here for what everyone is doing with the motor mount bracket that is welded to the stock upper shock mount. Do I box it in or is it ok the way it is? I'll post pic's soon.

box it in for strength and cosmetic purposes. U can use a piece of flat steel (approximately the size of the rectangle opening) and weld it flush or just back of flush with frame. Marlin sells the plates (they also come in SAS kit) or u can make them yourself

Thats more fab work that I don't need. I don't have that kind of time to fab up motor mounts. This is my daily driver.
