As mentioned above, I will not be able to repair my front end for a couple of weeks nor will I have a different set of tires until then either, so I think I am going to put the "Get the Mountaineer ready for MCR6" project on the back burner and continue working on the "Get the 1:1 Crawler read for MCR6".

Good idea, see you there.  :cheese:

I've been doing alot more work, I will have to make an update here. Got everything mounted finally, changed the steering setup, went to smaller 4" tall tires and 1.9" wheels, and made some more advancements with the suspension and finally got the bed bobbed :woohoo:

I lowered the body another 1/2" or so, and my front bumper no longer fits, so I need to make new body armor

Looks nice.. If you don't post better pictures of the bed bob and suspension additions I will have to report you to the guy that moderates this section. Oh and a bobbed long bed is not 1:1. Wheres the e-lockers? Jees. I need some more videos to access your driving skills because I think I would have made it the first time.

That's great, the first one remminded me of us going up the bypass to little sluice. Gotta do something about the off camber climbs.

Anyway good job, you need skills in small scale too.

Good luck. New on eBay will run more than $1,500.

It is made by Tamiya and has been discontinued since 1993.

Search eBay for the following terms: "Tamiya Mountaineer" or "Tamiya Bruiser" or "Tamiya Hilux"

Good luck!

He did have sliders and all of the armor but since it was lowered they don't fit.

Word yo.

I have done most of the modifications to the drivetrain and suspension that I wanted to do, there are still some more things to do, but pretty soon I will start working on the body armor and the body itself as it still does not even have a little :turtle: sticker nor does the paint match my truck :driving:

No he didn't stop, just picked up an axial to do the real crawling. He will chime in soon. He wants to keep it nice cause they are so rare now.

I completely understand. If I had one of those, I would NOT treat it like I treat my Axial :P
