So there's a new bumper design coming out? as well as a new cage kit?
We received all our prototypes. We have had to make a few changes to the prototypes. Nothing big just some differences in the radius of the CNC dies and the JD squared dies which effected our jig. We have addressed all the issues on the front bumper. We will have the parts on Thursday. I will have the new cage samples today and I expect the production parts to arrive on Monday. BigMike will update the web site on Friday.
i would be willing to be a tester for the new cage if you need one!
Or maybe just some lengths of DOM to extend the cage sold separate for x-cabs?
can we PLEASE get an update here? You guys are crawling a little slower than the normal 220 to 1 lately.
I bet the people that just got done waiting the better part of a year to get their front bumper, and were charged the full price, are bummed. I guess timing is everything.....
The previous bumper design was complicated and where built one at a time, each part cut, bent, coped and welded. It took about 6 hours from start to finish, per bumper. That drove the price up. Even though I have orders in with the previous builder I don't expert to see them again. Now our bumpers are CNC bent and shipped to us as individual parts. Our new builder just has to jig it and weld it. This drops our retail price down since I pay the welder less money per bumper. We got the first run of front bumper parts yesterday. We can now build 86-95 front bumpers. Our Fabricator is working on them right now. The new price will be up by tomorrow, we just need to sharping our pencil a little. It will be below $300 though.
friggen sweet!!!
