« on: Feb 13, 2007, 04:23:44 PM »
just wondering what everyone thought of putting the R151 behind a mild 302 small block Ford? i like the idea of the swap just don't want to always be wondering when it will blow?

i believe nwor has an adapter for it

http://www.northwestoffroad.com/parts/manualadapters.html

it says they have one for r and g code transmissions with a removable bellhousing

hell yeah i would run it with a 302!

they also have the motor mounts and the headers

I've never ordered anything from NWOR before either but they don't mfr anything, they just re-sell.  I know they've been around forever though.  I still have some of their catalogs from 15 years ago.

I wouldn't hesitate to put an r151 behind a 302.

I've heard good and bad from NWOR, so purchase at your own risk.  Doesn't inchworm sell adapters for that kind of thing?  :dunno:

I'm surprised AA doesn't

i am going to have to look into these options. right know i can't make up my mind what i want to do. i have all the parts for a turbo 22RE build but a lot of stuff would have to be replaced or upgraded. i also like the idea of a 3RZ or the 302. all would be about the same cost so i'm not sure.
