metric to 1/8 adapters for a brake porportioning valve

  he has the Hrad lines and unions.  im broke and summit has a summit for 40  where can i fing d the lined i need to swap it?  i found this on ebay
Steel Brake Line Adapter 1/8 NPT to -4AN Straight    but what is  a an fitting ive heard of them before.  what is it though?

Not sur what an AN fitting is, but it most likley is a brake line fitting.

I have similar valve and just used the American thread  1/8" x 3/16" flare fitting and reflared the lines with the American nuts.

I got my fittings at Auto Zone.

ive tried using the flareing tools befor i bought 8 inch hard line and i went thru the hole thing and it didnt work to well

NO. AN is a flare fitting, the same as SAE flares.  Same idea as a JIC, but the angle on the flare is different, as are the thread sizes.  You would be VERY lucky to find an adapter to go from metric line to 1/8" pipe.  My Weatherhead book here at home doesn't show one.  Do as Mark says and cut/reflare with a 3/16 tube nut.

if you go with 3/16 tube muts (WH/NAPA #105x3) then you just need an 3/16>1/8NPT (WH/NAPA #202x3)

The AN thread is a particular type of fitting used to connect flexible hoses and rigid metal tubing that carry fluid. It is a US military-derived specification stemming from a joint standard agreed upon by the Army and Navy, hence AN. However, some documents say the name is really Air Force/Navy.

AN sizes range from -2 (dash two) to -32 in irregular steps, with each step equating to the OD (outside diameter) of the tubing in 1/16" increments. Therefore, a -8 AN size would be equal to 1/2" OD tube (8 x 1/16 = 1/2). However, this system does not specify the ID (inside diameter) of the tubing because the tube wall can vary in thickness. Each AN size also uses its own standard thread size.

AN fittings are a flare fitting, using 37° flared tubing to form a metal-metal seal. They are similar to other 37° flared fittings, such as JIC fittings, which is their industrial variant. The two are interchangeable in theory, though this is typically not recommended due to the exacting specifications and demands of the aerospace industry. The differences between them relate to thread class (how tight a fit the threads are) and the metals used.

This is what I did. I found an article online that was in Car Craft (I think) on how to do it. Worked great for me and I hadn't done it before.
Time to go wheelin!
