Nothing wrong with being proud of my heritage. :dunno:

Got to give the Nazis credit for building the best equipment of the war!

Want me to change it?
Your "heritage" has no place on a Toyota 4X4 site. Display your hate someplace else. :tantrum:

Hate?  No hate posted.  Seems to me like the Nazis did not invent anti-semitism.  Read a history book.

So what should be my next step?  Hysteer or Crawl box?

thats are hard decision....i got my hysteer first just because i wanted to get it out of the way....but on the other hand i still dont have a crawlbox ..money issues :_order: i would get the box first because steering is cheaper..get the expensive things out of the way if you have the money :yesnod:

As Shoyrtt said, "Your heritage has no place on a Toyota 4X4 site." It's feel it's ok to do your own thing and believe in what you believe in, it's the way of life and everyone should be entitled to do it. BUT, this is a family board and that something that some people might take offense and some people might not want their kids to see either. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks! :beerchug:

So I am going to be getting a T-case that will bolt to my L50.  I have the option of doing the crawl box next, but then I need shafts and whatnot.  MY front angle is   I am thinking the Hysteer might be the better option.  35's and no power steering.  I also did the J-arm ball-flip to use a drop draglink.  Pretty sure that will be the weak link in the whole setup.  I do a alot of highway driving and so a stable steering setup is of utmost importance.

I also got some 6" shackles to level out the rear and improve shackle angle.  I am sure that most of you noticed how the rear sat lower.  I am having some frame contact on full compression.  Take a look. I am going to try to get them installed today.

Should be getting my '83 Volvo 244GLTi back from the shop in a few weeks.  Here it is at my wedding

m44offroad

hey dude the truck looks good, did you ever get the carb straightened out? i know the last time we talked you where asking about setting up some weber carbs.

Gewehr43

Whats up dude? Na I still need the weber carb.  Wanna help?

m44offroad

i'll help if time allows, for the next few weeks i have no time at all between work, holidays and flying down to phoenix at the end of the week. do you still have my cell number?

Gewehr43

The one I have is 620-8513.  That right?  I have the week of Christmas off from work.  I am going to either get one then or fool around with the stock one.

Gewehr43

Alright here we go!! Got a T-case coming from DirToyBoy soon!! Going to get working on a crawl box

I will have Q's so be prepared!

m44offroad

Got a T-case to build my dual cases! Why?  you got one?

m44offroad

i have a trans and t case laying around, just not sure weather its what you need

Gewehr43

What you got?  My truck has an L50.

m44offroad

i belive its a r150, more specificly both are r150s one we replaced with a junk yard unit due to worn syncros and the other we replaced with a junk yard unit due to bad bearings in the t-case so i have 1 good t-case and 1 good trans, they both cameout of 92-94 3.0 trucks, and i cant remember much more than that. if you want them you can have them and i can drop em off at your parents.

Gewehr43

Sure, my parts truck will be getting a motor as it will no longer be a parts truck

Know of an adapter to bolt it to a 22RE?

m44offroad

now that i went back out and looked at the trans i may be wrong on the model, all the pics and info i can find are pointing towards w56 because of the tail housing. is sad even with the toyota repair manuals i cant seem to make a positive id

Gewehr43

If its a W56 that would be sweet!  Let me know all the details when you get them.

ok i spoke too soon, the trans is a r150f and the tcase is a vf1a. to bolt the trans to a 22r you need a bell housing off a r151 which came on 86 and 87 22ret's, what sucks is i had a r151 sitting at work and got rid of it about 6 months ago. if you want call me so we can work out a good time to get it out of my yard

Gewehr43

This week ought to work.  Maybe this weekend if you are around?

m44offroad

im in  phoenix wed and thursday but im off sunday so lets see if sunday works

Gewehr43

Sure man sounds good.  We ought to get some food and catch u on old times :beerchug:

m44offroad

sounds good, i'll bring the beer

m44offroad

Well I'm posting some update pics for gewehr43 since I was dumb enough to bring a camera last night.  over the last couple months we got the high steer installed with the ifs steering box, yesterday morning ran down to the pnp and got the pump, brackets, lines and puleys off of a 83 4x4 and lastnight had everything installed and the p/s system works.
