Gear install pricing?
« on: Jan 08, 2007, 11:55:27 AM »
I have been trying to find someone local to install my 5.29gears into my thirds. So far the prices Ive been toled are from $175 up to $350 a piece. These prices seem really high! What do you think? Anybody want to do them for me?

remember to include the gear install kit in the price.... another 100-150 bucks. and more importantly make sure u know WHO is setting them up and that they have references for happy customers/installs

$100 a piece is fairly cheap, i'd recommend sitting in with him and watching. Once you've done a few it isn't that hard to set them up yourself. Just time consuming.

I think I paid $150 for setup at www.Bayview4x4.com and the mechanic is supremely excellent!.
