Toyota IFS Rear Housing
« on: Dec 25, 2006, 10:00:24 PM »
Looking for an IFS Axle housing. Mine is cracked at the perch and isn't long for this world. I live in the San Diego area and will drive up to 100 miles to get one.

I am offering the housing complete, axle stub to axle stub. cv shafts and all the rest will have to be found somewhere else it all got tossed. You will be better off with a solid front rear honestly they are a much stronger rear. It would be alot of backwards work to make this conversion.

Yeah I don't want to convert. I was assuming it was a rear. Sorry for the trouble.

no problem, good luck finding one. you are looking for a solid front rear 83 and older, or get yours welded ( the perch )

hey  ,  Joe, he's  looking for a ifs  REAR  axle,  the reason is the rear  axle  on the ifs  trucks  are 3 inches wider than the older trucks,

to keep  from confusing anyone  he is NOT looking for a solid front axle

If you've ever seen a rear diff. on a 86 and newer truck then you've seen what I want to put in the rear of my 82. They are wider by 3inches.
