:boozer: Who's planning on going this year? I'll be meeting up with some guys from my club at 8:00am in Prather to head up the mountain. Sierra Summit has 2.5 - 3 ft of the white stuff, not counting what's going to fall this weekend! Should be great again. We made the tower by 10:30ish last year. Looking forward to getting my Iroks in the snow finally. Post up. :driving:

I called 4Wheel Parts yesturday and they said they plan to meet in their parking lot at 8am. But they don't know where they are going, they said Beasore Rd. and Kings Canyon are both alternate possibilities. To which I say GREAT! Last year there were scads of people trying to get up Little Snot that had been in line for hours. I do not want to get stuck with/behind that crowd. As it is I am sure we'll be wwwaaaayyy behind Squirrel, Moose Knuckle and the all the rest of my usual group for snow runs.

The Four Wheel Drive Club of Fresno will be doing a run on Blue Canyon Monday morning and BIRDDOG and I will be heading up early Sunday morning and will camp at Bretz Mill. (click here for more info).

I don't know what the plan is on Monday? Apparently more members from the club will be coming up Mon. morning for a day of play on Blue Canyon.

What channel will you guys be running?

Hey there Mike. The club usually runs ch. 5 I think. But we'll probably be on 13 as soon as we catch up with Squirrel, hopefully more sooner than later.

I'll probably be running Bald on New Years day also. . . My church family is getting together up near Huntington Lake to play in the snow around 12pm. . . . So I figured I could head out early and do a few runs on Bald before heading up to meet them. . . .

I don't know if I can load up my wife and little girl to make it to Prather by 8am. . . . So I'll probably join the 4Wheel Drive Club of Fresno at 8am at Belmont and Academy to head up with them . . .

Hopefully I'll see you guys up there. I'll be in a green Double Cab Tacoma on 37s. . . .

Yeah, but according to their homepage, they're meeting at Belmont and Academy . . .

Well, I figure I'll just follow them up anyhow . . . . But I'd really like to meet you guys from Hillhoppers. . . . I haven't had a chance to come to a meeting because I've been working on Tuesday nights. But I have the next month off so I'll probably meet you at the next meeting if I don't see you guys at the trail on New Year's day. . . .

Well the trail is packed to the top. 5 of us made the tower yesterday. I can't say much about the traffic tomorrow but the tower is deffinately attainable.

I'm heading up in the morning too. I'll be at Prather about 8 and get sandwiches at the store for lunch. Hope I see you guys. I'm trailering so hope there is somewhere to park and unload without too much snow. Anyone know if the pull out area just before the turnoff is clear?

freds40

Yeah it's cleared out enough for a couple of trailers.

Well, I met up with the 4WD Club of Fresno and followed them into Blue Canyon . . . Unfortunately I wasn't able to stick around for the Bald Mountain run . . . But I still had some fun in the snow while I could . . .
