The Four Wheel Drive Club of Fresno will be heading up Blue Canyon on New Years, Monday January 1st in the morning.

BIRDDOG and I will be heading up on New Years Eve, Sunday December 31st in the morning to set up camp and then hang out and play in the snow all day and camp there during the night.

The location will be at Bret Mill Campground, above Tollhouse, CA.

Here is a map of the location of Bret Mill Campground:

can someone give the direction to Bret Mill Campground starting from fresno.

From their website:

QuoteFrom Fresno travel east on Hwy 168 through Prather to 4 way stop. (There will be a park and ride on right side of road). Turn left toward Shaver Lake, travel 8.8 miles, turn right on Tollhouse road, travel .7 mile turn left on Peterson Road, travel 10.7 miles to road 10S02 (Peterson road turns into 10S02), travel 4 miles then left into the campground.

Not sure how much snow there will be though. The camp ground is just shy of 5000 feet with the top of the canyon nearing 6000 feet. It is raining here in the valley right now, but its rather warm out (~45 degrees). I don't know what the snow line is at right now :dunno:

Gonna be a fun time regardless

Hey Mike I cant wait either its going to be great to freeze our butts off.

I caught a pretty nasty cold & had to call in sick today. I should be fine for this trip though.

We need to set up a meeting place & time. How about the restaurant on the corner of Belmont & Academy. For those who want to eat be there around 7:00. & we will leave there at 8:00 am.

The times & place are just a suggestion so let me know.

If This works then the name of the place is :

The Blossom Trail.
