would not work it had a bad fuse so I put a fuse in it and they worked fine the next
day I left my fog lights on, the batt. went dead. Got it jumped and they stopped working fuse is good and the lights are new any input would help.????????

Ramrod

YODAWILL

This is some of the stuff I got, also ordered some 5:29 ring and pinions today I love new stuff. :bling:

boggerunner

nice lookin rig, but get rid of the 3.slow motor, thats the first thing i did when i built my 90 4runner

Ramrod

YODAWILL

I'm good with the motor for now, it was replaced by toyota on a recall. It has good power too
so it will stay till it go's bad.

I got him with the kit his name is ROMIE

FIREBALL

Nice rig. When you're building, remember, it's a lot heavier than your old rig. I knew it when I built mine, but I still didn't compensate with the suspension enough. It's like wheelin a caddy though, lots of room and all the comforts.
Have fun!!

Matty

i wish i couldve built my 2nd gen 4runner.  im still trying to find a good deal on one in hopes to.

cant wait to see the progress.

eazy

YODAWILL

So I'm back transmission was out lastnight had it at a buddy's house. Pulled it apart
put the new senkros in put it back together. I'm driving it today it is working fine
now :crossed: but it was a long night, on about 4 hours of sleep now at work so we will see how the day go's. no pic but it was a good time two guy's on the 10th wind
lots of funny stuff.

I see you have a quality control inspection team like mine!
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

Ya he is the one that makes sure everthing is there, and to make sure the parts are of the highest quality. He does not charge me much, just a daily bowl of food and a box to :toilet2:. If it missing he will let me know.

Ramrod

so all it was was the sinkros?   I forgot that hub and so'ill have to go back by

YODAWILL

The thing is that when we pulled out the gear shaft, which hold the senkros
and the gear's the senkros did not look bad. so after looking it over we just replaced
the 1st set of senkros. Put it all back to gether just hoping it would work
because they did not look bad to start with. It works so I have no clue the old one's look just as good as the knew one's .

Chad_Romine

Looking forward to this build, but you should have bought my runner. Then you wouldnt have the tranny and light problems.

YODAWILL

I was looking at yours but I found this one, yours had too many miles for me but it is super clean. you should build yours don't sell it take the stuff off your 80's truck and make that 4runner badass.

Chad_Romine

Yeah mine does have alot of miles. How many is on the one you bought? Looks like you got a great deal.

I traded my 1st gen for a Full comp single seater buggy and a cherokee buggy. The first gen is now a Ftoy.  :inthedark:

My plan right now is to take the wishbone 3 links/coils,axles, hydro steering  from my buggy and swap everything over to the runner.

Your 1st gen was pretty much PERFECT but i look forward to see how sweet this thing turns out.  :clap2:

YODAWILL

it's got 181,000 but 100,000 on the new motor it had  a toyota recall on the motor.

Your runner should be sick when your done, when are you going to start the build.

Chad_Romine

People talk alot of crap about the 3.0s but they are still a great motor. I wish mine only had a 100k on it but for the price i got it at i cant complain.  :shhh:

Im going to measure it out tonight. I would start this weekend but i might have to change the links up a bit and im not really looking forward to doing that.

It should be actually pretty easy. Cut out ifs and weld in complete new "sub frame". The subframe has the tubed belly and complete  suspension welded to it. Its also 10" narrower than a stock toyota frame so i will only need 5" adapters to weld between the buggy frame and toy frame.

Do you plan to exo yours? Im not too big on exos but im going to kick my self in the butt if i beat up the body like my other rigs.  :shake:

YODAWILL

Exo is the plane but that will come last, I know I will do some wheeling before it's done
and hope I don't mess it up before then  :crossed:.

so your going to link the front that should be sick.

Chad_Romine

I measured it out this morning. Starting at the center for the rear axle 76" +/- to the tcase than 108" to the center of the front axle. My runner is like 42"+/- so i would have to change up the belly and/or links.  :hammerhead:

If your runner comes out anything like your 1st gen it should be bada$$.

Do you know if there is anyway to find out if my runner ever had the headgasket recall preformed?

Chad_Romine

YODAWILL

No not yet I still need to buy my hysteer kit and pickup an axle. One of my buddy's
know someone who has one, but I have not went to buy yet. I going to order
the hysteer kit today and also buy some 38x14.50x15 TSL-SX today. It's getting close I think I'm going to start by welding on all my hangers 1st. Right when I start I will be putting up pic's.

boggerunner

we need to see some progress like this
