What does this badge signify?
« on: Dec 10, 2006, 12:06:57 PM »
This is on that first gen show truck on ebay.  I asked him what made this a limited edition, and all he could offer was that it had a badge with a # on it so I had him get me a pic.  I don't remember any limited editions this far back, so I'm curious if anybody recognizes this badge?

I shoulda specified that.  No, it's just a shortbed pickup that somebody put a lot of crap on.  I posted the new link to the current auction in the ebay section.

thats the badge off of a early 1st gen 4x4 truck.
i just bought a truck with that same badge on it.
# 668 of 1089 built. i think its the first year toyota
built 4x4 trucks for import.
too bad this truck wasnt in better shape it would have
been a good one to restore.
i'd lusted after it for over a year and the guy wouldn't
sell. called me up one wedsday and said someone had
busted out all the windows and he was ready to sell.
so i went there on saturday and there was the truck
setting down in the sideditch with long blackmarks coming
off the road into it. the guy told me that friday nite someone
lost it in the curve and off into the truck he went.
crashed into the drivers side. no great loss tho as this
trucks frame was rusted intwo on the pass side.
all i wanted was the tilt wheel, guages, axles and transfercase.
got a good runnin 20 r in it too.
