Armor all Question
« on: Dec 02, 2006, 08:31:01 PM »
:headscratch:  I heard if you armor all your interior, you have to keep doing it forever.  Suposedly it gets into the pores of the material and you have to keep doing it forever or your interior will get cracked and old looking if you dont. Has anyone experienced this???

Well I heard that if you armor all your hardwood floors in your house then you can slide really really good in socks. But seriously I never seen that happen to interiors, isnt that why they make armorall specially for interiors. They come in rags or something.

Yes, this is absolutely true.  The same is true of your tires.  It's a petroleum based product, therefore they become addicted and need to have frequent applications.  You can use 303, it's water based and non addictive.

I like a nice hearty coat of 80/90 myself...

Seriously, I usually just wipe off the dust so I don't get any glare.

We just hose the mammoth down inside and out, put on a fresh coat of wax and we're good to go
But seriously, armorall sux, maybe it was a Florida thing, but in the hot sun it gets heated up and leaves a residue on the inside of the windshield. Not to meantion it just looks really greasy.
Life is like a bowl of beer flavored chocolate covered dog turds.. it makes no sense. :pokinit:

I use Meguiars quick detailer.  It is a spray cleaner for interior stuff.  Won't shine like Armor-all, but won't suck the moisture out and crack you dash either.
IFS is best kept at ambient temperature in a pile of scrap in the backyard.  When kept under a functioning vehicle, it tends to greatly diminish said vehicle's offroad ability.     -reklund5

No, no, no...that's strictly for exterior paint!

Wax Shop LRV is a great product.  won't crack your dash, repels static and dust...it's what I use.
