Been married for a while now, and was with my wife for 6 years before that, so nothing really changed for me. Besides the paperwork, it was no big deal. :dunno:

congratulations, and good luck, I've been married for 2.5 years now and we just had our first kid 6 weeks ago.  Marriage is a big change for anyone the only advice that I can give it to put her needs first (even if you have to sacrifice some wheelin)  Have a great time on your honeymoon.

Couple thoughts on Marriage...

1. Put a penny in a jar every time you have sex for the first year of the marriage. Then spend the rest of your marriage trying to empty the jar by taking one out each time.

2. Remember, men enter a marriage expecting that their wife won't change. They do! Women enter a marriage expecting their husband to change. They don't.

3. Marriage is a combination of hard work and compromise. Mostly compromise.

4. Try to wait for at least 2-3 years before having children (personally, I'd recommend 5). While you may not think your relationship will change, invariably it does. It takes a while for everything to equilibrate. If you can avoid throwing the chaos of a child into this, it will make your live(s) much easier, and better for the child.

Best of luck to you both. Marriage is both a challenge and rewarding.
